Current Openings

The Electrical Engineer I is an entry level engineer who is responsible for multiple lower-level projects or a single large project that support the business through designing, developing, and testing electrical equipment and systems.  This position develops and implements process automation, schematics and panel designs through a variety of software programs with the oversight of an Electrical Engineer II, Electrical Engineer III or Senior Controls Engineer.   This position is also responsible for validating the electrical design for reliability, performance, and safety standards. 

                                

Essential Job Functions

  • Support the business unit through electrical design activities.
  • Perform programming activities through Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Programmable Automation Controllers (PAC) and/or Operator Interface Terminal (OIT) as needed.
  • Configure and program instrumentations required to complete projects.
  • Assist electrical team in conduit routing and installation details as required to complete department projects.
  • Document processes and procedures to support the business needs which may include development of various operating instruction or manuals.
  • Electrical, mechanical, and process installation and troubleshooting of simple projects to support the business.  This may include the use of hand tools, gauges, multi-meters, and other measurement devices. 
  • Collaborate with customers as required to promote successful project execution, including but not limited to discussion with customer engineers and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) Protocol execution.
  • Develop quotes to support sales and marketing activities.
  • Collaborate with other professional disciplines throughout the business on technical inquires and needs.
  • Provide electrical support throughout the production processes as needed. 
  • Ensures lessons learned applied to future efforts.
  • Provide training and guidance to electricians as needed.
  • Leverage knowledge of Electrical Engineer II, III or Senior Controls Engineer in regards to electrical methodology, skills, and tools. 
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
  • Travel including international, could be up to 15% as required by the project or other needs.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license for travel.
  • Regular, in-person attendance due to necessary teamwork and personal interactive nature of this position.
  • The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (Competencies)

  • Knowledge and familiarity with 3 phase power applications, distribution and use.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with the development and implementation of automated control systems.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with solid state electronic component application.
  • Knowledge and experience in using Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s) to design and program process control systems.
  • Experience with integration of wide range of process analytical equipment.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Working knowledge of Computer Aided Design or AutoCad preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in a service orientated environment with troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a mechanical aptitude that allows for effective communication of the product to our customers.
  • Excellent communication skills both orally and written.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects in parallel in a time sensitive environment.
  • Show initiative to perform duties beyond assignment specific duties. 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Electronic Engineering Degree or similar degree program is required. 
  • A minimum of one (1) to three (3) years electrical related experience preferred.

Knowledge of JD Edwards preferred.

Base Compensation Range: $59,159 - $88,739 annually

Variable Compensation Range: Incentive bonus eligibility up to 10% of gross annual salary base on company performance (as of 2024).

The Continuous Improvement Engineer position is responsible for observing the general manufacturing working environment, identifying safety risks, and implementing solutions. Ability to drive risk mitigation and prevention is key to this role. May design or suggest design changes for special devices, tools, etc. This position is also responsible for planning, managing and installing these design changes as well as potentially new equipment while avoiding downtime and manufacturing inefficiencies. 

Essential Job Functions

  • Identify and analyze safety risks and actively seek out opportunities to troubleshoot and resolve. 
  • Execute solutions and lead projects to minimize and eliminate safety risks.
  • Lead projects, improvements, and new machine installations through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Develop procedures / policies to document safe operation of machinery, tools, or devices.
  • Assist with analyzing, purchasing, and commissioning new machines as required to eliminate safety risks.
  • Design, purchase, and implement tooling and devices as required to eliminate safety risks.
  • Identify and coordinate resource needs cross-functionally within the organization and assist with adding necessary resources.
  • Train or coordinate training of new machinery, tools, or devices as required for all levels of the organization. 
  • Create and deliver presentations on safety risk reductions and eliminations to promote comprehension as required for all levels of the organization.

The Staff Engineer is a senior contributor who provides process and structural engineering analysis, calculations and design of specialized and Engineered To Order (ETO) products. This position allows for a wide degree of creativity and latitude to take the lead on high-impact, complex projects.  The Staff Engineer will oversee project direction from an engineering perspective as well as analyze and provide solutions to challenges. This position will provide guidance and training to other engineers throughout the organization.  

Essential Job Functions

  • Generate and distribute all process and/or structural discipline engineering information needed to construct and execute a project.
  • Effective, frequent interaction with sales, purchasing, estimating, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers.
  • Review sales orders, specifications, and cost estimates to assure process, design and/or structural output fulfills requirements.
  • Prepare design calculations and perform or direct the preparation of drawings and design documents.
  • Review all drawings and specifications and ensure they properly relate to the estimate.
  • Support and troubleshoot assembly and testing processes as they relate to design manufacturability and functionality. 
  • Provide timely resolution to issues related to process, design and/or structural engineering throughout the production process.
  • Provide advanced process, design and/or structural support throughout the production processes as needed.
  • Provides training and guidance to Designers and Design Engineers.
  • Leverage knowledge of Senior Staff Engineer / Lead Engineer in regards to process, design and/or structural methodology, skills, and tools Collaborate with other professional disciplines throughout the business on technical inquires and needs.
  • Drive and execute continuous improvement ideas and projects to improve efficiencies, improve manufacturability and reduce rework. 
  • Take ownership of key projects, leading them from concept to completion. Ensure project milestones are met, issues are resolved, and designs are aligned with scope requirements.
  • Support sales and estimating to evaluate customers' technical design requirements and develop a proposed solution during the quoting process.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in one or more aspects of design guiding co-workers to solve critical problems.
  • Establish and maintain document control procedures.
  • Provide training to direct personnel and customers as needed.

  • Broad understanding of a wide spectrum of materials, their characteristics, tolerances and limitations.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or similar degree program is required. 
  • Professional Engineering License is required and/or must be obtained within one (1) year of accepting the position.
  • Obtain and maintain a Certificate of Engineer of Responsible Charge per ASME Section VIII Division 1 for two or more scope activities as applicable.
  • Minimum of five (5) or more years of experience in a process and structural engineering related field is preferred. 

Base Compensation Range: $79,949 - $125,049 annually
