Current Openings

The Accounting Manager is responsible for oversight of accounting and reporting policies. This includes the internal control environment, accounting standards and documenting compliance with government and financial institutions.  Integrity and accuracy of financial operations, safeguarding organizational assets and developing efficient business processes to record revenue are critical to success in this role. This position is also responsible for lease accounting, revenue recognition, leading strategic planning and participating in annual auditsThe Accounting Manager will manage the accounting team consisting of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Risk Management, Payroll and General Ledger.

Essential Job Functions

  • Responsible for coaching, teaching, and supervision of assigned personnel.
  • Responsible for effective employee relations. Initiates and is proactive with employee coaching and development. Resolves employee issues through identifying problems and resolutions. 
  • Provide on-site leadership for team by building and motivating team members to meet goals while adhering to their responsibilities.  
  • Responsible for the performance management (hiring, development, discipline, termination) of direct reports while collaborating with Human Resources.
  • Manage and oversee the full cycle of accounting operations including month-end and year-end close processes, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll.

  • Prepare and publish timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Assist in developing budgets and forecasts.

  • Evaluate and drive continuous improvement to internal accounting processes ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization. 
  • Establish and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure reliable financial reporting.
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings (sales tax, payroll tax, 1099s, etc.). 
  • Coordinate and lead external audits and serve as primary point of contact for external auditors. 
  • Collaborate with peers to optimize cost accounting, treasury, financial reporting and contract management.
  • Collaborate with legal entities for eliminations and consolidations.
  • Complete other duties and special projects as assigned.

Base Compensation Range: $89,579 - $145,421 annually

Variable Compensation Range: Incentive bonus eligibility up to 10% of gross annual salary base on company performance (as of 2024).

The Accounts Receivable Coordinator monitors and maintains accounts receivable balances to ensure money is received within terms.  This position will interface with internal and external customers through verbal and written correspondence.  Must be able to follow instruction, complete assignments in a timely manner and be able to work cohesively within a team environment.

Essential Job Functions

  • Assign customer account numbers and maintain the customer master files as necessary with regard to address, phone numbers, tax information, invoicing email address, etc. 
  • Monitor customer credit balances and communicate such with the applicable business units in an effort to reduce such balances through set-off with past due accounts or use with future sold work.
  • Review customer credit hold status and apply or remove as appropriate.
  • Complete collection activities such as; follow-up inquiries via mail, email or phone communication; arranging payment plans; keep track of cash receipts; collaborate with the appropriate business unit personnel to ensure maintained good will of the customer and effective / efficient collection; record collection efforts and notes with sufficient detail to allow for company-wide visibility to collection status on past-due accounts.
  • Following provided guidelines, once all collection efforts have been exhausted, notify Risk Manager and applicable Business Unit Manager so that collection action can be evaluated. 
  • Process system-generated invoices on a daily basis for all orders shipped domestically; review payment terms and shipping terms on invoices for accuracy.
  • Process contract billing invoices on a daily basis; ensure order entry personnel have entered the sales order and contract billing correctly; review taxable status details on the order for accuracy and assist order entry personnel with questions.
  • Post cash receipts on a daily basis as received from customers and process approved adjustments; review unapplied cash and apply appropriately.
  • Process credit card transactions and apply applicable payments to invoices.
  • Run monthly aging reports and send to the applicable Business Unit Managers, General Managers, Director of Operations, Risk Manager and CFO.
  • Review and appropriately code freight invoicing and manage and reconcile the Accrued Freight accounts.
  • Assist in month-end close and year-end audit process.
  • Assist in other accounting areas where needed. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Co-workers in this classification are required to have an advanced understanding and competency in stainless steel welding and grinding operations and blue print reading. Must be able to pass our Craftsman test.

Essential Job Functions

  • Perform difficult and unusual manual and machine welding operations in all positions, including layout and fit up
  •  Shape, cut or form metal to fabricate complex parts using press brake, shear, roll, dishing machine, flanging equipment and various forming equipment.  Layout, locate and mark bending lines, construct templates and patterns
  •  Set up or assist lower classifications in setting up machines
  •  Operate mobile crane equipment with the capacity of greater than 20,000 lbs. and directs the rigging and hoisting of equipment
  •  Finish grinding where grade and type of abrasive must be determined. Finish and compliance to specifications are critical
  •  Perform other duties requiring similar skills and abilities as assigned
  •  Guide and train other employees in any classification to improve their skills and perpetuate the trade

  • Requires considerable skills to fuse dissimilar metals, maximize weld strength, avoid distortion and conform to exacting tolerances and specifications. Must obtain and maintain ASME certifications 
  •  Layout, locate and mark bending lines, construct templates and patterns
  •  Knowledgeable in physical properties of metal, effects of heat, allowances for thickness, weld shrinkage and welding techniques
  •  Ability to read, interpret and work from blueprints, sketches or other specifications with a high degree of proficiency and little or no supervision or direction. 
  • Knowledge of product, mechanics, shop mathematics, shop processes and procedures is essential
  •  Knowledge of abrasives, conditions of metal and finish are critical

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 
  • Basic Blueprint reading, basic welding and basic grinding

Base Compensation Range: $24.25 - $26.75 per hour 

Shift Differential: $2.00 per hour

The Designer I position is an entry level position that performs design work for a single large-scope project or several smaller-scope projects simultaneously. 

Essential Job Functions

  • Convert project information (e.g., specifications, general sales order information, data sheets, etc.) into drawings and other documentation that manufacturing uses to produce a product.
  • Identify deviations in job scope, estimate the magnitude of changes, and notify the appropriate parties.

The Electrician position is responsible for installing complex electrical equipment, automated machines, controls, panels, relays, circuit breakers, lighting, communication systems, and alarms.  This position will work closely with electrical contractors to ensure all installation and fabrication meets required specifications as directed by company policy and the customer. 

Essential Job Functions

  • Ensure safety by observing the local, state, and national electrical-code regulations.
  • Must be able to understand technical documents, such as wiring schematics.
  • Strong understanding of VFD’s and PLC’s.
  • Perform work on voltage up to 480 volts safely.
  • Cut, bend, thread and hang conduit. 
  • Pull, label and terminate wire and cabling for power and control circuits.

  • Redline electrical schematics according to as-built function.
  • Use of hand tools and machinery is required.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve all electrical issues.
  • Coordinate with area supervisors regarding work which is being conducted on equipment which might impact safety and/or production.
  • Lead and collaborate with electrical contractors on site.
  • Collaborate with Electrical Engineers to ensure fabrication meets the designed function. 
  • Must maintain arc flash and LOTO training. 
  • Use of organizational and planning techniques to maximize productivity and efficiency of personnel.

The Estimator position is responsible for computing and providing the projected cost and time frame needed to successfully complete a project with consideration given to materials, purchased equipment, engineering, labor, contracted labor, etc.  The Estimator utilizes blueprints, project specifications, and knowledge of the industry to analyze the project needs and compile accurate cost estimates.  This position provides support to sales team and project management team for all standard and engineered to order (ETO) projects.  Overall the Estimator ensures a well-defined scope and budget to allow successful completion of the project that ultimately satisfies the customer’s expectation and meets the company’s financial goals.

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Provide estimated costs and projected timelines to manufacture vessels, large skids, and other products.  
  • Work directly with sales and project management teams to fully understand the scope and details of each project and customer wants and needs.
  • Regularly meet with sales, manufacturing, engineering, design, project management, electrical, and other field experts as needed to accurately estimate specific project costs and timelines.
  • Review customer specifications for cost and timelines.
  • Prepare preliminary vessel calculations to assist in accurately estimating each vessel.
  • Work directly with external vendors to obtain quotes as required for each project.  Some examples are agitators, valves, instrumentation, plates/sheet, pipe, flanges, and others as needed.
  • Update customer data sheets or provide Mueller data sheet to be reviewed by sales and submitted to customer’s proposal.
  • Specify exceptions and clarifications to be reviewed by sales and submitted to customer’s proposal. 
  • Support the project management team with any change orders that arise as projects progress through the system. 
  • Run preliminary vessel calculations to assist in accurately estimating each vessel. 
  • Support sales to transfer sold orders to the project management team. 
  • Collaborate with other Estimators and Senior Estimators as required to share best practices. 
  • Ensures lessons learned applied to future efforts.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

The Lead Electrician is responsible for the assembly, quality control, and troubleshooting of company electrical products/equipment. This position requires travel to customer locations, providing installation oversight, supervision of field coworkers, technical support, resolving issues and ensuring the optimal performance of products and equipment. The Lead Electrician is responsible for customer satisfaction through direct contact with our customers to support and satisfy their specifications.   • Responsible for performing electrical tasks and work on voltage up to 480 volts safely.

  • Troubleshoot and diagnoses problems with trucks, trailers and equipment. 
  • Responsible for housekeeping in our shipping yards. 
  • Perform repairs on vehicles and equipment as required.
  • Determine degree of damage to item to be repaired. Disassemble item and list parts necessary to repair.
  • Operate equipment to verify safe and effective repair.
  • Use of hand tools and machinery is required to maintain vehicles and equipment.
  • Coordinate trailer repairs with mobile service group as necessary.
  • Coordinate mobile wash to remove road salt from trailers as required.
  • Inspect trailers upon return to the yard and prep for next shipment.
  • Complete pre-trip inspections on loads and trailers.
  • Prep trailers for upcoming shipments, includes assembly, loading cradles, loading head racks, etc.
  • Road test new drivers, as well as teach tarp school and trailer school.
  • Coordinate with receiving to unload steel delivered on MTI trailers.
  • Use of organizational and planning techniques to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Manage inventory chains, binders, tarps, etc. on-site and in trucks.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Approximately 10% travel and occasional overnight stay if necessary.
  • Valid Class A CDL.
  • Regular, in-person attendance due to necessary teamwork and personal interactive nature of this position.
  • Overtime is a mandatory condition of employment and frequent in this position.

  • Self-starter and goal oriented.
  • Must be able to read manuals and technical documents.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • One (1) to three (3) years truck and trailer experience preferred. 
  • No current violations pending on CDL.

Base Compensation Range: $20.13 - $30.20 per hour 

Variable Compensation Range: Incentive bonus eligibility up to 10% of gross annual salary base on company performance (as of 2024).

Exposure to conditions, such as: dust, fumes, noise and high-degree varying seasonal temperatures. Machinery with energy sources including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, chemical, or other energy.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, handle, grasp or feel; reach with hands and arms climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or craw. 

Additional effort requirements consist of, but are not limited to, lifting, pushing and pulling material, stairs, and ladders. When there is an occasion to move heavy material greater than 50 pounds, the operator will request assistance from another operator, or utilize provided lifting equipment.
