Apply NowThe Welder / Grinder is responsible for basic understanding and competency in welding and grinding of a variety of different metals, shapes, tanks, vessels, piping, components, etc. This position performs precision smoothing, polishing, and grinding of surfaces.
Essential Job Functions
• Set up, operate, and maintain manual welding, grinding, and/or cutting equipment.
• Set up and operate hand and power tools common to the industry.
• Inspect and perform quality checks to ensure conformance to established tolerances and specifications.
• Perform inspection of work pieces for quality defects and communicate appropriately.
• Perform welding and grinding procedures accurately to avoid warping, shrinking, and distortion.
• Position and secure work pieces safely using overhead cranes, hoists, and other appropriate lifting devices.
