Current Openings

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the promotion and sales of the company’s products, services and systems to the pharmaceutical, biotech, personal care, and bottled water customers in the assigned territory.  Sells direct to customers, but may also manage the sales efforts of select manufacturer’s agents and distributors if assigned to the territory.

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Establish and execute a sales strategy that focuses on value selling to existing accounts and continuous development of new accounts within assigned territory
  • Define sales strategies and commercial positions for all proposals 
  • Work with home office technical and applications staff to develop final proposals
  • Develop closing strategies and manage team-selling activities for proposals
  • Conduct technical sales presentations to customers, consultants and contractors
  • Attend regional and national industry association meetings and networking events to develop leads for new business
  • Manage costs for territory including all travel expenses, trade show spending, and customer give-a-ways
  • Attend Sales training as required to develop skillset
  • Manage all customer contacts utilizing company’s CRM software management program
  • Submit weekly forecasts and quarterly updates to support GM/Business Unit Manager activities and company budget planning
  • Support marketing requests for website updates 
  • Support GM/Business Unit Manager in high involvement planning bi-annually
  • Travel 50-70% of the time both flying and driving with possible international travel with the ability to obtain a passport.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Regular, in-person attendance due to necessary teamwork and personal interactive nature of this position.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (Competencies)

  • Basic knowledge to review terms and conditions.
  • Ability to work within a flexible schedule and hours. 
  • Ability to work independently or in a team with the willingness to provide estimating support when needed.
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with individuals at all levels.
  • Self-starter and goal oriented who will aggressively pursue sales order management and new customers.
  • Excellent communication skills both orally and written with the ability to develop and deliver presentations.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage time effectively.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects in parallel in a time sensitive environment.
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively utilize Microsoft Office.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a mechanical aptitude that allows for effective communication of the product to our customers.

  Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Engineering or other related field.

Two to five years’ experience selling engineered products or systems to the pharmaceutical industry is highly desired. 

Water or process industry related sales experience will also be considered.

Base Compensation Range: $63,736 - $99,691 annually

Variable Commission Plan: Competitive annual plan with quarterly payout

Variable Compensation Range: Incentive bonus eligibility up to 10% of gross annual salary base on company performance.

 WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Professional office environment with some time spent in the manufacturing area.  Exposure to conditions, such as: dust, fumes, noise and high-degree varying seasonal temperatures. Machinery with energy sources including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, chemical, or other energy.
