Current Openings

The Assembly Technician is responsible for the fabrication, assembly and basic electrical wiring of refrigerated product and equipment while ensuring production objectives are achieved at the lowest cost consistent with the Company’s high-quality standards.

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Read and assemble from blue prints, general construction drawings, sketches or other specifications with proficiency and minimal direction. Assembly includes basic electrical wiring.
  • Set up and operate a variety of machines and hand tools related to the assembly of refrigerated product and equipment.
  • Set up and execute high quality copper brazed connections.
  • Follow work instructions for assembly, testing and troubleshooting.
  • Assist in testing and troubleshooting to ensure equipment is performing properly prior to shipping.
  • Inspect work performed by others and accurately complete the inspection paperwork.
  • Maintain good documentation practices.
  • Facilitate and promote safe and clean working conditions.
  • Assist production team in identifying and resolving quality issues as needed.
  • Proactively look for, and execute on, opportunities to continuously improve the fabrication, assembly and manufacturing process.
  • Follow and maintain Kanban system.
  • Handle material using proper lifting devices.
  • Identify preventative safety opportunities.
  • Attend huddles and contribute to open book management.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
  • Regular, in-person attendance due to necessary teamwork and personal interactive nature of this position.
  • Overtime is a condition of employment and may be required from time to time.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (Competencies)

  • Understanding of manufacturing tools and their proper use.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • One (1) year manufacturing, brazing and/or refrigeration equipment experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience of refrigerated product and equipment assembly is preferred.

Base Compensation Range: $23.75 - $26.91 per hour 

Shift Differential: 10% of wage, per hour 

Variable Compensation Range:  Incentive bonus eligibility up to 10% of gross annual salary base on company performance (as of 2024).

Co-workers in this classification are required to have an advanced understanding and competency in stainless steel welding and grinding operations and blue print reading. Must be able to pass a Craftsman test.

Essential Job Functions

  • Perform difficult and unusual manual and machine welding operations in all positions, including layout and fit up
  •  Shape, cut or form metal to fabricate complex parts using press brake, shear, roll, dishing machine, flanging equipment and various forming equipment.  Layout, locate and mark bending lines, construct templates and patterns
  •  Set up or assist lower classifications in setting up machines
  •  Operate mobile crane equipment with the capacity of greater than 20,000 lbs. and directs the rigging and hoisting of equipment
  •  Finish grinding where grade and type of abrasive must be determined. Finish and compliance to specifications are critical
  •  Perform other duties requiring similar skills and abilities as assigned
  •  Guide and train other employees in any classification to improve their skills and perpetuate the trade

  • Requires considerable skills to fuse dissimilar metals, maximize weld strength, avoid distortion and conform to exacting tolerances and specifications. Must obtain and maintain ASME certifications 
  •  Layout, locate and mark bending lines, construct templates and patterns
  •  Knowledgeable in physical properties of metal, effects of heat, allowances for thickness, weld shrinkage and welding techniques
  •  Ability to read, interpret and work from blueprints, sketches or other specifications with a high degree of proficiency and little or no supervision or direction. 
  •  Knowledge of product, mechanics, shop mathematics, shop processes and procedures are essential
  •  Knowledge of abrasives, conditions of metal and finish are critical

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 
  • Basic Blueprint reading, basic welding and basic grinding

 

Base Compensation Range: $23.45 - $25.20 per hour 

Shift Differential: $2.00 per hour

We are currently searching for a Fabricator for our Springfield MO Facility.  Co-workers in this classification have a basic understanding and competency in stainless steel welding and grinding operations.

  • Operates mobile crane equipment with the capacity of less than 20,000 lbs. and directs the rigging and hoisting of equipment
  • Set up and operate machines to make production parts to standard shop blueprints

The Human Resources Generalist position is a key position that provides support and guidance to the organization and all coworkers. This position is responsible for all human resource and people-focused functions such as talent acquisition, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding and general administrative support to the business. Base Compensation Range: $53,537 - $80,306 annually

The Material Handling Safety Specialist will assist with strategic cross functional design and process improvement initiatives targeting material handling challenges, asset management, and organizational training.  Their primary responsibility is ensuring safe rigging and lifting procedures are followed throughout the Springfield and Iowa facility.  They will proactively identify risks and implement solutions.  Training and equipping personnel to rig loads and operate cranes is a core requirement.  The Material Handling Safety Specialist will also provide design input for below the hook (BTH) devices, tools, jigs/fixtures, rigging, and other material handling equipment. 

Essential Job Functions

  • Proactively identify, analyze, prioritize, and troubleshoot material handling, rigging and lifting risks. 
  • Lead projects and implement solutions through cross-functional collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and quality personnel.
  • Develop procedures and policies to document safe operation of new and existing machinery, tools, fixtures, and/or devices related to overhead lifting and heavy material handling.
  • Create and deliver presentations on safe overhead (and mobile) crane operation and rigging practices to establish the competency required for all levels of the organization.
  • Facilitate a hands-on practical examination to confirm the proficiency of classroom training. 
  • Oversee the required inspection and documentation for chains and BTH lifting devices.
  • Complete spot audits of BTH and rigging devices, providing feedback to business units on findings and action items needed as follow-up.
  • Coordinate the procurement of standardized devices across the facility and ensure they are properly utilized and readily available. 
  • Continuously evaluate the suitability of selected equipment for manufacturing’s overhead lifting applications.
  • Monitor maintenance’s timely completion and documentation of preventative maintenance inspections required on critical lifting/material handling equipment and BTH devices.
  • Perform other material handling continuous improvement related duties as required.

The Staff Engineer is a senior contributor who provides process and structural engineering analysis, calculations and design of specialized and Engineered To Order (ETO) products. Summary

The Machine Operator is responsible for set up, maintenance, and operation of various types of machinery and programming. This position may require routine assembly operations including electronic components utilizing schematics and blue prints. Performs routine quality inspections before and after assembly using standard measuring devices to ensure conformance of all product specifications. 

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Set up and operate machines to produce parts to established tolerances and specifications.
  • Set up and operate welding and grinding machinery.
  • Inspect parts before and after assembly using standard measuring devices to established tolerances and specifications. 
  • Operate spray foam insulation and sandblast equipment.
  • Perform routine assembly operations including electronic components as required..
  • Perform required spray foam testing to ensure functionality and document appropriately.
  • Perform visual inspection and notify the quality inspector of any material defects.
  • Perform all required inspections and documentation in a timely manner.
  • Meet all company quality standards and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Set up and operate CNC and/or manual machines.
  • Set up and operate shear, brake and roll machine.
  • Plan the sequence of machining to achieve an efficient production cycle.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Ability to handle material using proper lifting devices.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
  • Regular, in-person attendance due to necessary teamwork and personal interactive nature of this position.
  • Overtime is a mandatory condition of employment and frequent in this position

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (Competencies)

  • Understanding of manufacturing tools and their proper use.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow blue prints and/or schematics.

Education and Experience

  • HS Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • One (1) year of manufacturing and/or machine operating experience preferred.

  • Exposure to conditions, such as: dust, fumes, noise and high-degree varying seasonal temperatures. Machinery with energy sources including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, chemical, or other energy.

Base Compensation Range: $20.33 - $23.70 per hour 

 

Variable Compensation Range: Incentive bonus eligibility up to 10% of gross annual salary based on company performance (as of 2024).

The Welder / Grinder is responsible for basic understanding and competency in welding and grinding of a variety of different metals, shapes, tanks, vessels, piping, components, etc. This position performs precision smoothing, polishing, and grinding of surfaces.

Essential Job Functions
•    Set up, operate, and maintain manual welding, grinding, and/or cutting equipment.  
•    Set up and operate hand and power tools common to the industry.  
•    Inspect and perform quality checks to ensure conformance to established tolerances and specifications.
•    Perform inspection of work pieces for quality defects and communicate appropriately. 
•    Perform welding and grinding procedures accurately to avoid warping, shrinking, and distortion.
•    Position and secure work pieces safely using overhead cranes, hoists, and other appropriate lifting devices.
•    Grind work pieces to a #4 (32 RA) finish using approved safety processes and procedures.
•    Set up, perform, and maintain various types of polishing equipment as needed. 
•    Obtain and maintain at least one ASME Certification to be used as required.
•    Meet all company quality standards and follow defined SOP’s.
•    Regular, in-person attendance due to necessary teamwork and personal interactive nature of this position. 
•    Overtime is a mandatory condition of employment and frequent in this position. 
•    The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
