The Business Unit Manager will manage the assigned Product Line, developing and managing the product line’s business plan. • Perform inspection of work pieces for quality defects and communicate appropriately.
• Perform welding and grinding procedures accurately to avoid warping, shrinking, and distortion.
• Position and secure work pieces safely using overhead cranes, hoists, and other appropriate lifting devices.
• Grind work pieces to a #4 (32 RA) finish using approved safety processes and procedures.
• Set up, perform, and maintain various types of polishing equipment as needed.
• Obtain and maintain at least one ASME Certification to be used as required.
• Meet all company quality standards and follow defined SOP’s.
• Regular, in-person attendance due to necessary teamwork and personal interactive nature of this position.
• Overtime is a mandatory condition of employment and frequent in this position.
• The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• All other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (Competencies)
• Knowledge of metal working process’s.
• Knowledge of various welding techniques including TIG, MIG, etc.
• Basic knowledge of grinding abrasives and material surface finishes.
• Understanding of manufacturing tools and their proper use.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Read, interpret, and follow blue prints.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Willingness to adapt in a dynamic work environment.
• Ability and willingness to follow directions while working independently.
• Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
• Ability to operate various Powered Industrial Vehicles.
Education and Experience
• HS Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year welding and/or grinding experience preferred.
MUST COMPLETE A WELD TEST PRIOR TO HIRING
Base Compensation Range: $25.00 - $29.29 per hour
Variable Compensation Range: Incentive bonus eligibility up to 12% of gross annual salary based on company performance (as of 2024).
